UPCOMING EVENTS:

This summer brings a new adventure with some new faces!  Nikki will make her debut with the Nettle Creek Players Summer Stock Tent Theatre and get to take on one of her favorite Sondheim gems, Into the Woods as Jack's Mother!  She last took on this wonderful character in her mid-twenties, so this time around she will probably not need any drawn on age lines!  Other fun adventures with Nettle Creek will include lending her vocal chops to the original musical revue, Hoosier Harmony as well as partaking in the NCP Young Actors Musical Theatre Workshop production of Master Cat:  The Story of Puss in Boots.  Please check the theatre website for show dates & times and if your summer travels bring you this way, you are more than welcome for a visit!

Although the holiday season seems a long way off (albeit this spring seems a bit frozen, literally, in the lower end of the themometer), it's not too early to announce holiday plans!  Nikki will return to one of her favorite former haunts, The Old Creamery Theatre, to embark on yet another Mavis adventure! A CBL Christmas: Away in a Basement returns to the Amanas, playing from November 15--December 20--This delightful romp with the ladies was such a hit back in 2013, several additional performances were required, so here is hoping holiday history repeats its magic!

RECENT EVENTS:

Nikki had quite a whirlwind of theatre life during 2017, including adding the 6th chapter of CBL, Rise Up, O Men to her resume (again there were many sold out crowds requiring three additional matinees).  Before returning to her favorite alter ego, Mavis, she ventured a bit outside of her comfort zone by donning a pair of roller skates (for the first time since high school) and glided hilariously & very cautiously across the Old Creamery stage as Betty Blast in Footloose. For the record, there was only one wipe out during the entire run (and nothing was wounded exept for pride)!  That Sunday's matinee audiience was very forgiving, and needless to say, Nikki was quite grateful for the "video prohibited during a live performance" rule!

Other fond adventures of the past year included returning to the very first chapter of Church Basement Ladies (for her 8th vigorous round) at the beautiful Legacy Theatre in Tyrone, Georgia.  The audience response, like those in the Amanas, was not only so enthusiastic that three additional performances were required, but the cast was honored with a Suzi Bass nomination for Best Ensemble!  Nikki then ventured to more stunning surroundings in Holland, Michigan to make her debut at Hope Summer Repertory Theatre where she crooned about being a great waitress in Working & stayed equally busy in one of her favorites, Annie!

Nikki continues to branch out into today's high-tech world and created a profile at Backstage.com, so if you want to take a looksie:  www.backstage.com/nikkisavitt/
